Mince the beef just before cooking or have this freshly minced by the butcher. You can incorporate a little seasoning but many experts do not recommend this. If the meat is very lean grease a heavy frying pan with a little butter or pork fat. If the meat contains a fair percentage of fat do not grease the pan.

Slowly heat the pan, the Hamburgers should sizzle when added. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes on either side. Some experts advise seasoning the Hamburgers when turned over on the second side. Meanwhile split and toast the buns. Fill with the burgers, salad and add tomato ketchup, fried sliced onions or slices of cheese. Serve at once.
